The Area Management Specialist (AMS) will work with other property leaders to resolve, troubleshoot and assist the site team with operations. This role requires a highly organized and proactive individual who can manage variety of property management tasks, prioritize, and travel between properties as needed. This is an on-site position. The AMS will work with property staff to address and resolve operational and compliance issues.
The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in affordable housing property management, with strong problem-solving and leadership skills.

Pay: $33.00 - 35.02/hour DOE (equivalent to $68,6400 - 72,800/year) + SIGN ON BONUS $3,280

Duties:
- Follow rent collection procedures and achieve benchmarks.
- Ensure that occupancy levels are at budgeted levels and higher.

Achieve rents allowed under regulatory programs.
- Train staff to use property management, accounting, and personnel software effectively.
- Collaborate with Resident Services and third-party agencies to meet service objectives.
- Monitor and enforce safety guidelines outlined in the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan.

Regularly review and manage property expenses, effectively manages and adheres to budgeted guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of applicable local and federal housing laws, including Fair Housing and Landlord and Tenant laws.
- Experience being accountable for financials.
- Previous housing or property management experience including HUD, Low Income Tax Credits, Rural Housing, and Tax-Exempt Bond properties.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification in property or affordable housing management.
- Minimum of two (2) years of administrative, accounting, customer service, and/or supervisory experience.
- Multi-site property management experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
