Job Summary

One of our clients is seeking an Associate
Electrical Engineer to join their team, where you’ll apply your expertise in
building services systems on a wide range of innovative projects in the US and

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and other engineers
    or design team members as part of a skilled and dedicated team.

  • Create detailed design drawings, electronic models, specifications,
    reports, schedules, and coordinate with utility companies, securing
    electrical permit approvals from Plan Check.

  • Organize technical and financial proposals for new projects.
  • Manage the workload of project discipline engineers and
    technicians, ensuring quality verification.

  • Lead concept and preliminary engineering design solutions for
    detailed design.

  • Prepare technical specifications and monitor the financial
    performance of projects.

  • Keep senior staff informed of critical service/design decisions and
    ensure client objectives are met.

  • Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers.
  • Ensure that practices, policies, and strategies align with client
    needs, current legislation, and state building codes.

  • Manage personal workload to meet deadlines and proactively address
    any concerns regarding capacity and time management.

  • Oversee the project team’s commitments to ensure successful
    deadline adherence and resource allocation.

  • Contribute to the profitability of projects by managing job
    finances, resourcing, and expenditure.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering design within the
    building services and construction industry.

  • Experience in sectors such as Higher Education, Museums,
    Commercial, Transportation Hubs, and Stadiums preferred.

  • Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or
    a related field.

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
  • LEED AP accreditation preferred.
  • Proficient in Revit and familiar with computational analysis tools
    like electrical fault analysis and lighting design software.

  • Ability to take on significant responsibility in a team environment
    while also working independently.

  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems with
    problem-solving skills to identify and address technical challenges.

  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with experience
    presenting to C-suite level stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to prepare and deliver technical reports to clients.
  • Capability to provide multiple problem-solving solutions and
    clearly communicate their pros and cons.
