The ideal candidate is excited about designing electronics in high-reliability applications with a proven track record of quickly developing new hardware. You will be responsible for the full product life cycle, from initial concept to delivery and operation. Your will work at fast-paced in a dynamic startup environment and will have a direct impact on company's mission.

Role responsibilities
• Rapidly develop high-reliability electronics for aircraft.
• Own system trades, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, layout, bring-up, debugging, manufacturing, and test.
• Support hardware through ground testing and flight
• Work closely with other engineering disciplines to design and develop the overall aircraft systems to be more efficient and reliable.

Must Have Requirement:
Seniority
  • 4+ years of experience designing, building, or testing circuit boards or other electronics.
Work experience
  • Proven track record of designing and shipping hardware products, not just prototyping or personal projects

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a top engineering school.

Hard skills
  • Experience developing new hardware or systems with minimal time and resources.
  • Deep circuit design expertise, particularly in high voltage/high power inverters. 
  • Experience with sensor signal conditioning circuits, motor inverters/controllers, or other actuation systems.
  • Experience with switching power converters, magnetics, solid state load switches, or analog control loops.
  • Experience with digital processors, memory chips, or network switches.
  • Experience with circuit board layout and deep knowledge of the circuits in the projects they've worked on.
  • Experience with automating hardware development functions (ex. test scripts for bench testing, scripting to accelerate analysis, etc.).
  • Experience building products from scratch rather than hacking things together in personal projects
