Marin City Health and Wellness Center (MCHWC) is looking for an experienced, dynamic clinician to work in Marin City and Bayview Clinics. These clinical sites, are aimed at providing comprehensive family health services including family planning and prenatal care. Working closely with the CMO, the Lead Health Clinician is responsible for providing high-quality primary care, building collaborative teams, and developing clinical services in based on the needs of our patient community. The ideal candidate comes with a demonstrated commitment to working with vulnerable populations, as well as prior primary care and leadership experience.
Marin City Health & Wellness Center (MCHWC)is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides innovative health and wellness services to all, with the goal of African American health equity. At MCHWC we believe that a patient’s zip code should not impact the quality of care they receive. Through existing clinic sites in Marin County and San Francisco, and our new site in San Rafael, we provide wrap-around services for children, adults, and seniors, including medical, dental, behavioral health, substance use and homeless services.
Marin City Health and Wellness (MCHWC) is an eligible Federally Qualified Health Center in the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains clinical programs to deliver high-quality health care to our patients
- In coordination with the clinical and operational leadership, provides input on the impact of clinic programs and policies on our patients and staff
- Maintains existing and establish new partnerships with community partners serving our patients and their families
- Maintains a working partnership with Marin Health and UCSF, in addition to other healthcare partner organizations
- Assist in the development of patient care policies, protocols, and procedures related to provision of health care services.
- In cooperation with the Chief Medical Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Quality and Risk Manager, contributes to the implementation of a comprehensive quality management program related to family health services, including regular medical audits, protocol reviews, peer reviews, and tracking and reporting on appropriate clinical measures
- Ongoing involvement in provider and staff recruitment and retention efforts
- Provide direct patient care, with a standard of excellence appropriate for a clinical leader
- Provide patient follow-up and referrals as needed
- Provide health education and counseling to patients, in a sensitive and supportive manner
Qualifications:
- For CNM, and FNP, current California license, including furnishing license
- Past work experience in leadership roles or positions
- Demonstrated medical clinical skills
- Interest in working with a diverse patient population in a community-based organization and sensitivity to their needs and health problems
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with individuals from a wide range of ages, socio-economic, ethnic, racial backgrounds, and disabilities
- Spanish language ability an asset
- Ability to work well independently under minimum supervision
- Valid California driver’s license, automobile, and automobile liability insurance
- Experience with electronic health records, specifically Epic and/or eCW strongly preferred.
- Community health clinic background preferred.
