About the Role:
As Brain Co.’s Founding Recruiter, you’ll own the end-to-end recruitment process for our team. From sourcing to vetting and coordinating interviews, you’ll play a critical role in identifying and attracting top talent. While you’ll have support (e.g., sourcers), we're an early stage startup so this role requires a hands-on, full-stack approach to recruiting. Comfort with ambiguity, adaptability, and a builder mindset are essential for success in this dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing candidates.
Collaborate with leadership and hiring managers to define role requirements and create compelling job descriptions.
Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to identify top-tier talent.
Build and maintain a talent pipeline for critical and high-priority roles.
Partner with external resources (e.g., sourcers, agencies, etc.) to supplement recruiting efforts as needed.
Ensure an exceptional candidate experience at every stage of the hiring process.
Provide strategic input on improving and scaling our hiring processes as the company grows.
Act as a brand ambassador, selling & pitching Brain Co. to every candidate
What We’re Looking For:
7-15 years of experience in recruiting
Proven track record of successfully hiring in high-growth startups
Hands-on experience with sourcing, screening, and closing candidates for engineering, data, and product roles.
Metrics-driven: relentlessly implement strategies and optimizations to enhance candidate conversion rates.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative mindset.
Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to challenges.
Knowledge of recruitment tools, platforms, and best practices (we use Ashby)

Compensation
The estimated base salary range for this role is $150-230K (depending on experience) plus meaningful equity.
