Growth Marketing Manager - Developer Tools (Series A Startup)

San Francisco | $80k-$130k + .2% Equity

Our client, a well-funded Series A developer tools startup backed by tier 1 VCs ($5M raised, 6 years runway), is seeking a creative and data-driven Growth Marketing Manager to drive their next phase of expansion.

The Opportunity

You'll own the full marketing funnel, from content creation to lead conversion, with a particular focus on engaging developer communities through authentic, valuable content. This role combines creative storytelling with analytical rigor to build and nurture a pipeline of qualified leads from the Open Source Software (OSS) community.

What You'll Do

  • Architect and execute multi-channel growth campaigns across email, social media, and community platforms
  • Create compelling short-form video content for LinkedIn and Twitter that resonates with developers
  • Build and optimize high-engagement Reddit strategies to connect with technical audiences
  • Design automated email sequences and nurture campaigns that convert
  • Drive the full funnel from content engagement to qualified meeting handoffs
  • Analyze performance metrics and continuously optimize conversion rates
  • Collaborate directly with the executive team on strategic initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • 2-5 years of growth marketing experience at early-stage startups, specifically in B2B DevTools
  • Track record at companies similar to PostHog, Modal, or Amplitude
  • Proven ability to create engaging technical content across multiple formats
  • Experience with email marketing automation and funnel optimization
  • Strong understanding of developer communities and OSS ecosystem
  • Data-driven approach to content strategy and campaign optimization
  • Expert-level knowledge of Reddit marketing and community engagement

Ideal Background

  • Previously led growth initiatives at a Series A dev tools startup
  • Demonstrated success in video content creation for technical audiences
  • Experience optimizing B2B sales funnels with measurable results
  • Deep familiarity with developer tools and OSS communities

The Package

  • Competitive base salary: $80,000 - $130,000
