Overview


San Francisco based firm is seeking an Interior Designer to join their design-centric studio. Winner of the American Prize of Architecture, this studio passionately dedicates itself to the renewal of beauty in architecture; project types include adaptive reuse, residential, mixed-use, workplace, biotech, civic (including music halls), sports, and master planning. Founded in the late 90s, the CEO has been featured as one of Silicon Valley’s most distinguished start-up founders in the field of architecture. This 30+ person studio has recently been working with clients such as Netflix, Amazon & Facebook in the Bay Area.


The Interior Designer will be working on cutting edge commercial and multi-family interiors, under the guidance of a senior project team member. 



Responsibilities






  • Assist in the development of the design work.




  • Prepare interior design plans and renderings using design programs.




  • Perform design computations (take-offs, area calculations).




  • Research and assist in the material and finish selections, and conduct product research and evaluations.




  • Assist in the preparation of design and construction documents, as well as correct and update drawings.




  • Coordinate with the senior design team to ensure integration of design elements.




  • Assist with the selection of FF&E systems and freestanding furniture.




  • Prepare finish binders, material boards, and study models as required.




  • Assist in maintaining the company's database.




  • Perform other related duties as assigned.






 

Qualifications & Requirements




  • Professional degree in Interior Architecture or Architecture; LEED accreditation preferred 




  • 1-4 years of relevant experience in corporate office design/residential interiors




  • Residing in the Bay Area




  • General knowledge of design development and presentation documents.




  • Proficiency in Revit




  • Adobe Suites experience preferred. Rendering experience and presentation formatting encouraged. 




  • General understanding of building materials and willingness to learn/expand on detailing skills and and construction techniques 




  • Highly creative skills with the ability to execute high levels of design.




  • Problem-solving skills with a strong sense of design, color, and materials.




  • Strong follow-through and attention to detail.




  • Design aptitude.




  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and to work within a team structure




  • Positive attitude with a strong aptitude for learning
