Elite Sourcing LLC is partnering with a reputable law firm, who is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant with Construction Defect experience to join their team. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide vital support to attorneys and assist with various legal tasks related to construction defect cases. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with construction defect experience looking to contribute to the success of a thriving law firm.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, maintaining legal files related to construction defect cases, conducting legal research specific to construction defect laws and regulations, and preparing legal documents for construction defect cases. The ideal candidate is someone who has strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

***Remote but must be in San Francisco Vicinity for occasional office meetings

Responsibilities

  • Manage and organize legal documents and files related to construction defect cases.
  • Conduct industry-specific legal research and gather relevant information related to construction defect cases.
  • Draft and edit legal documents, correspondence, and reports pertaining to construction defect cases.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments and meetings related to construction defect cases.
  • Assist in the preparation of court filings and legal briefs specific to construction defect cases.
  • Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel regarding construction defect cases.
  • Maintain attorney calendars and deadline reminders for construction defect cases.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing emails, and transcription.


Requirements
  • Associate degree or certification in Legal Studies is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role, with a focus on construction defect cases.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and processes related to construction defect cases.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
  • Experience with Word, Acrobat, LexisNexis, WestLaw, and other legal software.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
