Your role at Sephora:

The Sephora Technology (IT) team is looking for a seasoned and experienced “Senior Solution Architect” for our Warehouse Management Systems (with focus on Retail and Dotcom fulfillment processes) who will be challenged with unique projects that impact the long-term success of the Distribution Centers and can help on Process Architecture, Systems Design, Automation Design and Operations engagement. 

 

Sephora NA is a large retailer with a large distribution footprint across the USA and Canada. Sephora is continuously engaged in expanding and modernizing Distribution functions. This role would be a subject matter expert for the company in WMS Architecture & Automation systems and help bring on innovative technologies and processes for both our manual and automated distribution operations and engage with distribution leadership for Continuous Operations Improvement initiatives. 

 

The ideal person for this role should have an in-depth understanding of warehouse functions for a large retail company and strong, detailed knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems to help us map our Supply Chain Systems journey. This person will also work with other business teams like Stores, Transportation, E-comm and other IT teams. The right candidate will be able to guide developers and other architects in building and implementing Technology solutions. Selected candidates will be collaborative and passionate about bringing people together to address supply chain challenges and identify improvement opportunities before they become business issues.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for design and architecture of Warehouse management systems & processes with integration to WES, Shipping, 3PL, TMS, ERP systems and world class Material Automation/handling systems.
  • Leading and solutioning requirements working with DC Operations/Engineering Teams for proposed technical designs, end to end Solution Process Design, process flows and system solution architecture.
  • Work with developers to build the solutions. Interacts with and advises high-level distribution leadership.
  • Create solution design and process flow documentation, technical design proposals with functional story writing for business review and technology build.
  • Map and design data models for Analytics and Reporting using AI/ML automation and self-service analytics tools
  • Guide other architects, Business analysts for Solution design , providing best practices, offering solution options and  mentor them for delivery.
  • Conceptualize, conduct proofs of concept, produce prototypes, suggest models for scenarios provided by Business units.

 

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • 12+ years' experience as a Solution Architect with strong knowledge on Top Tier WMS (Preferably JDA/Blue Yonder/Red Prairie), WES, TMS (preferably Mercury Gate), LMS Systems
  • 10+ years strong experience with Retail Business Processes and process re-engineering  
  • 7+ year's experience with strong knowledge of designing end-to-end operational processes, systems design, and systems integration design for automation systems like Automatic Put wall, Goods-to-Person, Robotic Picking, Pouch sorter, Sortation, Pick systems, etc.
  • 4+ years leading a team of Architects and/or BSAs to a successful system implementation. Including resource assignment, problem solving and roadmap planning
  • Implemented major WMS/TMS/WES solutions for a retailer. 
  • Experience with Reporting, knowledge of various reporting tools like Tableau, ThoughtSpot, PowerBI, and analytics reporting is desired
  • Strong retail industry background is a must. Ability to collaborate effectively with teams spread across the globe. Strong change Management Skills

The annual base salary range for this position is $174,960.00 - $216,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.  Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.  Sephora offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, which includes comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a superior 401(k) plan, various paid time off programs; employee discount/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; and an employee referral bonus program.
