Job Description

We established the Finance Velocity Office to accelerate our path to building a world-class finance function. This newly created function will shape our transformation strategy, improve our business operations and enhance the impact we make as a function. Why velocity?   • Ensure a clear and measurable set of KPIs against our Finance OKRs and Scorecard to track, report and recognize key milestones and impact statements for our work product.

As a Senior Financial Analyst you will serve as a strategic finance partner to the Finance Velocity Office Program. This role requires interpersonal skills to cultivate partnerships across functions, regions, and teams, to drive thought leadership, and successfully enact detailed financial analysis, business case development and performance tracking. This role presents results and provides insights and analysis to program leaders and executives. The ideal candidate has a background in financial analysis, preferably with a public company, and proven results collaborating with team members and supported functions.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports the coordination, organization, and execution of quantitative and qualitative analyses. Examples of activities include traditional budgeting and forecasting, month-end close, enhanced financial / business reporting, business case development, pricing analysis, P&L generation, and business planning support.
  • Supports business case development for key initiatives, ad hoc requests, and special projects.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with a broad base of key stakeholders (i.e., executives and staff) in the business and serves as a key point of contact for finance issues.
  • Acquires and maintains a deep understanding of the strategies, priorities, and issues of the business.
  • Applies overall analytical skills and experience to become a highly valued business partner.
  • Identifies and implements changes that improve efficiency and effectiveness of operational decision making.
  • Learn and understand Visa’s financial reporting systems: run data queries, build financial architecture, and support finance technology initiatives.
  • Builds near and long-term views for growth that align with business strategy and data.
  • Interpret and present key findings to senior leadership
  • Enable management by providing timely, accurate information
  • Understand business drivers and recommend measures to further improve results
  • Establish efficient processes for quarterly and monthly performance reporting
  • Dialogue around budget and spend to optimize budget and investments; return-on-investment discipline

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in a well-disciplined organization where best practices are integral to the management of the business
  • Experience on a Financial Planning & Analysis (or similar) team with a thorough understanding of financial accounting and management reporting.
  • Experience performing financial analysis and modeling with strong financial acumen
  • Must have the ability to perform business process mapping/flowcharting as the company will be evaluating end to end financial processes through various assessments
  • Ability to gather and write business requirements as well perform user acceptance testing as part of system and tool implementation projects
  • Advanced skills in creating visually appealing and content rich presentations that will support executive level reporting
  • Investment banking and/or management consulting experience a plus
  • Proactive, strategic thinker
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Superior problem solving skills with ability to communicate effectively with executive management
  • Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy and quality of output
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 124,600.00 to 180,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
