Sr. Growth Manager, Marketing

Ashby
Full-time
Remote
United States

Hi, I’m Euphonia, Ashby’s Director of Demand Generation. I joined Ashby in January 2024 to lead the Demand Gen function, drawn by the sophisticated product and enthusiastic customer base. Since joining, both have proven to be true, and what truly stands out is working with some of the most talented and kind teammates while having a huge opportunity to build the Demand Gen machine. Before Ashby, I spent 4.5 years at Brex as the first paid marketing hire, building and scaling growth channels from scratch, honing my skills across demand gen and brand marketing as the company grew from fewer than 100 employees to over 1,300.

For this role, we’re looking for an ambitious growth marketer who enjoys solving growth challenges, to build and scale Ashby’s growth marketing engine directly tied to revenue. You will start with scaled email outbound and expand into a variety of channels as we test and learn.

There are three key areas we’re hiring for in particular:

  1. Problem-solving:  apply principled thinking and solve demand gen/growth marketing problems.

  2. Growth mindset: you’re constantly learning and interaction growth activities and driven by impact.

  3. Data confident: Able to work with raw data, analyze and make recommendations.

At Ashby, we are fortunate to have achieved incredible product-market fit with a customer referral flywheel in motion. With our recent Series C raise, we’re at an exciting point in time where Growth Marketing can make an outsized impact on the company’s trajectory. Come join us! More on how we work here and why our investors are excited about us here.

What you’ll be responsible for in this role

  1. You’ll start with owning scaled email outbound strategy and execution: Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive scalable email outbound strategy that drives qualified pipeline. This includes managing the outbound tech stack (Hubspot, Instantly, Clay, etc.), identifying areas of opportunity, writing email copy, implementing campaigns, and iterating and optimizing the campaigns on an ongoing basis. You shouldn’t apply if you don’t want to work on the email outbound channel.

  2. Find new growth channels: Experiment with new strategies and tactics to unlock growth.

  3. Report, analyze, test, and iterate: Regularly measure and analyze campaign performance, generate insights, and make informed decisions to improve performance.

  4. Develop and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns based on business needs, this could include Account-based Marketing (ABM) campaigns to engage and convert target accounts, field/events marketing enablement, regional campaigns, etc.

  5. Leverage tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, including automation and personalization tools like Clay, getcargo.io, Hubspot, Instantly, and Apollo, intent tools such as G2, and reporting tools such as Looker.

  6. Work closely with Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Sales: Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners to ensure alignment on goals, metrics, campaign approaches, and processes.

You will probably love this role if:

  • You are driven by making an impact on revenue, and are excited about exploring and scaling new and different marketing channels regardless of your previous experience.

  • You enjoy applying creative and principled thinking to solve problems and don’t settle for the typical B2B marketing playbooks.

  • You embrace new technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency.

  • You excel at building trust with cross-functional teams: As a B2B SaaS company, our sales process involves tight collaboration across all teams. You have strong interpersonal skills and can build and maintain collaborative relationships across different departments.

  • You are able to develop a deep understanding of which value props resonate with the respective audience, and use personalization tools and strong writing to craft copy for various channels.

This role is not for you if:

  • You aren’t able to operate with autonomy and execute channel strategies from end to end: as one of our company's core operating principles, we prioritize ownership. We will provide clear ownership over a specific scope of work and trust you to own your work. You should be proactive and resourceful.

  • You aren’t ready to experiment fast and move with urgency. The path to scale isn’t linear, and it requires fast iterations. You need to pair long-term focus with an intense focus on maximizing results per unit of time.

  • You aren’t comfortable working with lots of numbers: You will need to own your numbers and report on them weekly with reliable data. While we have data resources to help get the numbers you need, it’s crucial that you design the best way to leverage data analysis for your decision-making.

  • You are a grow-at-all-cost marketer. Although we’re all for getting creative with testing and tooling, helping customers should be at the heart of everything we do. We don’t have room for tactics that erode brand trust or damage the relationship with our potential customers, even when these tactics can boost numbers temporarily.

Benefits

  • 10-year exercise window for stock options. You shouldn’t feel pressure to purchase stock options if you leave Ashby —do it when you feel financially comfortable.

  • Unlimited PTO with four weeks recommended per year. Expect “Vacation?” in our one-on-one agenda until you start taking it 😅.

  • Twelve weeks of fully paid family leave in the US. We plan to expand this to employees in other countries as situations arise.

Ashby’s success hinges on hiring great people and creating an environment where we can be happy, feel challenged, and do our best work. We’re being deliberate about building that environment from the ground up. I hope that excites you enough to apply.
