Hello! We’re the Data Cloud Content Experience team. We write content that helps customers unlock their trapped data and build personalized experiences with Data Cloud.


We’re looking for a developer doc writer who will create content that helps developers build on and extend Data Cloud. We have outstanding content strategists on Data Cloud CX, and we want a dev doc specialist who’ll partner with them, as well as with PM and Eng stakeholders, to understand developers’ needs and deliver industry-leading content to meet them.

This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 10/quarter to our San Francisco, CA, Seattle or Bellvue, WA office to support customers and/or collaborate with their teams.



Required Experience/Skills:

  • 7+ years of professional writing with a focus on developer documentation

  • Excellent writing skills, including explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Excellent communication skills, including giving and receiving feedback

  • Growth mindset: Flexible and open to changing priorities and assignments

  • Dedicated team player who works closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and subject matter experts

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality content within tight deadlines

  • Ability to develop innovative dev doc strategies for cross-cloud products and solutions

  • Strong customer advocate


Desired Experience/Skills:

  • Experience with the following:

    • Source control software such as Perforce or Git

    • XML-based authoring tools such as Oxygen

    • DITA and structured authoring

    • Salesforce

    • Agile development process

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $121,800 to $167,400.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $132,800 to $182,600.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
