A leading medical institution is seeking a Volunteer and Community Liaison. The successful candidate will participate in the development, implementation, and management of volunteer programs. The ideal candidate has one year of experience in volunteer program oversight, Child Life Services, or in a Children’s Hospital setting. The company offers a great work environment!

Volunteer and Community Liaison Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $30/hr
  • Worksite: Leading medical institution (San Francisco, CA 94158 - Onsite)
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
  • 40 hours/week, 5 Month Assignment

Volunteer and Community Liaison Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Manager, Supervisor and staff of Child Life Services with administrative duties that support the ongoing functionality of the department.
  • Collaborate with the Patient Event Manager to create meaningful and supportive, developmentally appropriate events and special visits. This includes seasonal and holiday related offerings.
  • Oversee all volunteer-related systems, including schedules, orientations, retention efforts, communication and limit setting when needed.
  • Receive and follow up on a myriad of community engagement opportunities, including scheduling and receiving donations.
  • Process donations and maintain clear documentation of supplies that are both onsite and offsite, including maintaining a orderly storage room.

Volunteer and Community Liaison Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in administrative analysis.
  • 1 year of experience in volunteer program oversight, Child Life Services, or in a Children’s Hospital setting.
  • Graduation from a college or university with a BA/BS in a related field.
  • Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of all volunteer-related systems and staff members.
  • Ability to conduct training sessions, manage donations, and community relations.
  • Excellent public/customer relations skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Highly skilled at communication, organization, and scheduling.

Shift:

  • Monday to Friday from 08:30 am to 05:00 pm.
