Job Description


The Construction Project Manager’s responsibilities include ensuring the projects are completed on time and within budget, planning and designing construction plans, and overseeing the building process.


Our ideal candidate has a solid background in the field, excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software, project management skills and a strong understanding of construction procedures, material and project management principles.


Responsibilities



  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process

  • Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed

  • Work with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists

  • Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports

  • Ensure the quality of work and materials is upheld

  • Resolve problems when they arise

  • Ensure the work environment is safe and that all safety regulations are being followed

  • Monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations


Skills



  • Strong project management skills to plan, coordinate, and oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

  • Excellent understanding of construction procedures, tools and knowledge of construction materials to ensure the quality of construction.

  • Effective communication and negotiation skills to liaise with architects, engineers, clients and other stakeholders, and resolve any potential issues.

  • Leadership and team-building skills to manage and coordinate a diverse team of professionals and workers.

  • Proficiency in construction management software to track project progress, manage resources, and handle scheduling and cost estimation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to anticipate and handle potential challenges or delays in the construction process.

  • Compliance with all safety procedures and knowledge of construction safety laws to ensure a safe work environment.

  • Experience in reading and understanding blueprints and technical diagrams to accurately execute construction plans.

Requirements



  • Key Qualifications



  • At least 10 years minimum of proven work experience as a Construction Manager / Retail experience with tenant improvement project.

  • Advanced knowledge of construction project management processes, means and methods

  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process

  • Competent in conflict and crisis management

  • Excellent time and project management skills

  • BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field

  • OSHA 30-hr Construction Safety Training


  • Location: California (Bay Area)


    Salary: $124,800 - $166,400 Salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
