Who you are
The ideal candidate will excel in managing the entire jobsite, including coordinating subcontractors, conducting inspections, overseeing self-performed trades, maintaining schedules, and ensuring safety compliance. They will have the ability to identify and plan high-risk work activities, ensuring proper execution and mitigation of risks. This candidate should have experience serving as the sole Superintendent on commercial projects and be skilled in communicating project milestones, preparing three-week look-ahead schedules, and understanding trade sequencing and durations.
What you’ll do
- Oversee daily operations at construction sites to ensure smooth progress.
- Enforce safety, compliance, and quality standards throughout the project.
- Maintain clear communication with project team members regarding progress and updates.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure efficient site organization.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to plan and execute project tasks effectively.
- Work with the project team to address and resolve onsite construction challenges.
- Inspect work to confirm it meets specifications and quality standards.
- Schedule and coordinate all AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) and third-party inspections.
- Address designer/consultant observation reports, correction notices, and punch lists promptly.
- Compile daily logs to report on progress, materials, labor, and equipment, adjusting schedules as necessary.
- Perform additional job site management tasks as assigned to support project success.
- Oversea onsite self-perform activities for Union Carpenters and Union Labors.
- This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, safety-conscious, and driven to deliver successful project outcomes.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as the lead superintendent for Public Works or Commercial Projects.
- Exceptional management and communication skills to lead teams and coordinate effectively.
- Advanced reading and interpreting construction documents.
- Strong understanding of construction industry standards and best practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of code compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to drive project success.
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software is highly desirable.
- OSHA-30 certification, or equivalent experience with willingness to obtain certification.
- Ability to pass a background check and LiveScan to meet project-specific requirements.

Compensation
- Salary of $140,000 - $170,000
- Annual Bonus
