Purpose
BCCI Construction, part of the STOBG network of companies, is looking to hire a Director of Human Resources. This position develops and supports company HR policies, company culture, sets HR departmental/individual goals, determines and manages the HR budget.  They also plan, lead and support recruiting, employee relations, succession planning, career development, compensation, benefits, training and development, employee retention, performance management and EEO/state level compliance. Works collaboratively with the Leadership team to manage overall employee population, supports/drives organizational initiatives and creates/develops programs that support organizational strategy. Contribute to company’s culture, mission and values through thought leadership and actions.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify staffing and recruiting needs.  Develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management.
  • Administers or oversees the administration of HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave administration, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, recognition, employee morale and training and development.
  • Works collaboratively with Managers/Directors to handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates and implements policies, processes, training initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s HR compliance and organizational strategy needs.
  • Collaborates with Leadership Team to determine organization’s overall goals and strategy as it relates to human capital.
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics to determine and understand drivers of turnover, recruiting trends and market salary ranges.
  • Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices.  Modifies policies and practices to remain in compliance.
  • Maintains updated knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in HR, talent management and employment law.  Applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice and resources to leadership.
  • Develops and manages departmental budget.
  • Facilitates professional development and mentors and trains HR staff.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

 

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, Communication or 5-7 years of equivalent experience.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred.
  • Experience in managing a team is preferred.

  • Proficient in recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn and Indeed.
