JOB SUMMARY 

The Ecommerce Associate is a first step in the pathway in Ecommerce for Goodwill SF Bay.  The primary responsibility of this role is to evaluate, photograph, and list products online that have been donated to Goodwill SF Bay and may include material handling and use of warehouse equipment including the opportunity for forklift training. This role reports to an Ecommerce Supervisor and mainly works under one of the following lines of business: fashion, jewelry, recompute, books & media, fulfillment, or collectibles.   


RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Sort and evaluate products for channel priority
  • Take photos of items and help to write product listings with detailed, accurate, relevant descriptions for online sale on eBay and shopgoodwill.com
  • Uses Quality Control procedures to ensure that every item is received correctly
  • Inspect and determine the condition of media items based on customer satisfaction guidelines.
  • Move totes, Coops, and/or gaylords for processing and distribution
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and ensure it is clear of any product by the end of the day
  • Report any safety hazards and any loss prevention concerns to supervisor
  • Prepare outbound shipments to other lines of business
  • Participate in all required training activities to acquire skills on the job
  • Meet daily production goals
  • Attend and participate in daily huddles
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to conduct work on computers
  • Able to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Work cooperatively with diverse groups of individuals from a variety of educational, social and economic backgrounds? 
  • Ability to utilize self-learning systems
  • Possess a professional demeanor, poise under pressure with strong attention to detail, and well-developed time management skills
  • Respects and has knowledge of cultures, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientations and age groups other than one’s own, able to work effectively with all

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs unassisted
  • Ability to stand on hard surfaces for an extended period
  • Ability to work weekends, nights and/or holidays
