Job Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on Marketing Lead with over 6 years of experience and a focus on content marketing, communications, building digital presence for portfolio companies, and sales support. This role is perfect for a generalist who excels at executing across multiple marketing functions and is driven to support sales efforts, particularly in targeting large, high-profile brands. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of executing successful content strategies, strong project management skills and have a deep understanding of professional services industry dynamics and buyer behavior. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide sales support by crafting high-quality sales decks, case studies, and marketing collateral that resonates with potential clients.

  • Oversee content marketing initiatives, including blogs, social media, newsletters, and white papers, to align with brand strategy and business objectives.

  • Develop sophisticated thought leadership content that demonstrates deep industry expertise and professional credibility.

  • Create content strategies that target both potential clients and industry peers.

  • Oversee the production of technical white papers, case studies, and research reports that showcase the firm’s specialized knowledge.

  • Plan and execute events, including conferences, trade shows, webinars, and branded experiences, aimed at generating leads and building relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop tailored marketing materials and campaigns to support their efforts in landing big accounts.

  • Manage the development and communication of key brand messaging, ensuring consistent representation across all channels.

  • Own the building and establishment of digital presence for all of our new portfolio companies as they launch.

  • Develop and execute brand-building strategies that increase awareness and positioning in the marketplace for UP.Labs.

  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and sales support efforts, adjusting strategies as necessary to maximize results.

  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams (Sales, Product, Design) to ensure alignment on goals and messaging.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on content marketing, communications and sales support.

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting sales teams, particularly those targeting big brands and proven ability to create compelling sales decks, presentations, and marketing collateral that align with the sales strategy.

  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful content strategies

  • Experience managing and mentoring creative teams, including remote workers

  • Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities

  • Deep understanding of professional services industry dynamics and buyer behavior

  • Ideally experience working in a venture studio/business building environment

  • Experience creating content for sophisticated B2B audiences

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to track and optimize marketing performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in venture capital, tech startups, or high-growth environments.

  • Ability to think creatively and outside the box to drive brand and sales success.
