Description

The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), an established San Francisco-based nonprofit organization defending online privacy and free expression, is looking for a full-time Dynamics Analyst to support the Development team’s use of the CRM to maximize our efficiency and fundraising.



As the Nonprofit Dynamics 365 Analyst, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's Dynamics 365 environment in cooperation with IT and engineers within the organization. Your role will be crucial in optimizing our use of Dynamics 365 to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.

Some of What You’ll Do


The Dynamics 365 Analyst will be responsible for:



  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users regarding Microsoft Dynamics CRM/365.

  • Conducting training sessions and developing training materials for onboarding new employees and empowering existing users to maximize their utilization of the CRM system.

  • Configuring and customizing entities, workflows, and business processes as per organizational needs.

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, including data management, deduplication, and updates to maintain data integrity and accuracy within the system.

What Else You Should Know


This position may be based at our offices in San Francisco or anywhere in CA, DC, GA, MA, NV, NJ, NY, OR, or WA. This position will need to keep Pacific time zone hours regardless of location. The compensation for this position ranges from $88,400 to $116,700 depending on experience and location.

Detailed Job Description

 


Position Summary


The Nonprofit CRM Analyst will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's Dynamics 365 environment in collaboration with IT and engineers within the organization. The Analyst will be responsible for configuring and customizing the system to meet EFF’s fundraising needs, ensuring data integrity and security, troubleshooting issues, and providing ongoing support and training to users on multiple teams across EFF. Your role will be crucial in optimizing our use of Dynamics 365 to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.




Essential Functions


User Support and Training:



  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users regarding Microsoft Dynamics CRM/365.

  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions using Dynamics 365 capabilities.

  • Work closely with departments to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective solutions.

  • Conduct training sessions and develop training materials for onboarding new employees and empowering existing users to maximize their utilization of the CRM system.

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on system configurations, processes, and integrations to ensure clarity and consistency across the organization.


Microsoft Dynamics Administration:



  • Configure and customize entities, workflows, and business processes as per organizational needs.

  • The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Power Automate to streamline business processes.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including data management, deduplication, and updates to maintain data integrity and accuracy within the system.

  • Design and create dashboards to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

  • Assist with integrations across other systems and applications, such as SharePoint, Shopify, our in-house donation app, and QuickBooks, safeguarding data integrity and seamless functionality.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, fundraisers, and other end users to ensure successful operation of Microsoft Dynamics solutions.

  • Collaborate with IT to configure and maintain security roles and user permissions within the CRM.


System Integration and Updates:



  • Coordinate with IT and external consultants to test and implement new features and functionality introduced in system updates.

Required Education & Experience



  • Proven experience as a CRM analyst, administrator or similar role managing Dynamics 365 environments.

  • Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising processes, strategies, and best practices.

  • In-depth knowledge of Dynamics 365 configuration, customization, and administration in a nonprofit setting.

  • A keen understanding of how the CRM contributes to business goals in a nonprofit fundraising team.

  • Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 security model, including roles, users, and privileges.


 

Compensation

Bay Area Salary Range

$110,000 to $116,700 DOE

Salary Range Outside of the Bay Area:

$88,400 to $110,400 Depending on location and experience

Salaries outside of the Bay Area are regionalized using the General Schedule Locality Adjustment.



Classification: Union, Exempt, Full-time (40 hours/week)

Expected hours of work: Monday-Friday, Pacific time zone work hours

Reports to: Director of Donor Operations

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Location: This position may be based at our offices in San Francisco or anywhere in CA, DC, GA, MA, MD, NV, NJ, NY, OR and WA. This position will need to keep Pacific time zone hours regardless of location.

Travel: EFF hosts two one-week all-staff gatherings in the Bay Area each year in the spring and fall, and all staff are expected to attend.
