Job Description

One of the top Skilled Nursing Facilities in the Bay is looking to hire a full-time permanent RN Unit Manager. They’ve got an incredibly passionate staff providing quality care to a well- known and respected 350 bed resident community!

Job Duties:

  • Provide a leadership and act as a professional role model to staff.
  • Direct and participate in the development, implementation, and goals of the unit.
  • Develop and maintain unit specific Quality Assurance and Improvement Activities.
  • Work in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team to assure an integrated approach.
  • Assure that unit operations are in compliance with TITLE 22, OBRA, and other regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Maintain current knowledge of trends in long-term care.
  • Serve as a resource and role model.
  • Plan and evaluates programs and recommends changes as needed.
  • Routine evaluate resident care.
  • Participate in appropriate committees.
  • Evaluate staff knowledge and skill with staff development to conduct appropriate in-service training.
  • Initiate necessary training of staff.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for residents and staff.
  • Cover floor unit as needed related to staffing needs.
  • Conduct routine performance evaluation & staff.
  • Monitor, counsel, and document staff performance.
  • Participate in hiring staff.
  • Participate in the orientation of new employees, and ongoing education of assigned staff.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

**Qualifications**

  • 3 years of R.N. / RN (registered nurse)
  • 1 year of leadership experience as either a clinical supervisor, clinical manager, or charge nurse.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations, CMS guidelines, and regulations pertinent to completing MDS assessments.
  • Inpatient Long Term Care experience such as a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is a plus, but we are very much open to a passionate Nurse coming from any of the following settings: Hospital, Home Health, Hospice, Medical Group, Outpatient Clinic, Sub Acute, Home Care, Senior Living / Assisted living, etc.

Salary is per employer discretion and commensurate with experience
