We currently have a role available for a Pharmaceutical Lab Technician.
Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform daily tasks and maintain lab organization as directed by the lab supervisor.
- Handle the receiving and unpacking of consumables and inventory for stock storage room, Tissue Culture rooms, media fridges, and freezer reagents.
- Monitor the inventory of chemicals, equipment consumables, and supplies in the laboratory.
- Facilitate equipment preventative maintenance and vendor coordination.
- Conduct routine lab organization tasks, including biohazard waste disposal, buffer refill, glass wash/autoclave procedures.
- Construct and ship packages as needed.
- Communicate efficiently with team members, providing updates on requests and necessary tasks.
- Perform walk-throughs to ensure labs are functionally sound, including checking equipment functionality and notifying appropriate teams of noncompliance.
- Be proactive in identifying areas of opportunity and promoting safety in the lab environment by optimizing space, eliminating clutter, and enhancing functionality.
- Follow standard operating procedures and ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines, ensuring proper techniques are performed at the highest level while maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
Job requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
- AS degree in chemistry, biology or related science and/or equivalent college coursework in the sciences.
- 1+ years of industrial lab experience.
- Able to lift 10 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Works well both as a team and as an individual.
- Demonstration of excellent team player skills, very strong attention to detail, very strong problem-solving skills, a high level of learning agility, and the ability to work across functions. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the leadership and communication skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.
