HGA's San Francisco Interior Design team is hiring! Bring your passion for creative extraordinary design and work along side experienced and talented professionals in our interior design and architecture teams.
In this position, you will collaborate with and be an integral part of the interior design team, supporting the development of the Interior Design efforts; performing all technical aspects of the interior design process from project setup, design concept development through to construction administration; and assisting and participating in data gathering, planning and documentation.
1. Lead the interior design of healthcare projects including hospitals, clinics and medical office buildings;
2. Works with Healthcare Architectural and Interior Design teams and leads the interior design direction, translating complex programming requirements into design solutions, focusing on the patient experience;
3. Participate in business development efforts for interviews, client presentations and proposal content;
4. Works within project schedules to prioritize tasks and coordinate the completion of documentation required from initial design phase through final project completion;
5. Mentor interior design team and design coordinators and provide design direction through all project phases; and
6. Collaborates and communicates effectively and professionally with multidisciplinary team members.
• Minimum 10 years of interior design experience, with a focus on healthcare design
• Four year bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited program
• NCIDQ Certification required, EDAC certification an asset
• Fluent knowledge of Revit, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and/or other related graphic software programs is expected. Rhino is an asset
• Experience in developing conceptual and schematic designs, collaborating and programming with medical planner and developing interior space plans for healthcare facilities, design development and construction documentation.
• In depth knowledge of Healthcare codes and regulations including CBC and ADA standards and practical application in working with California agencies
• Experience in various healthcare facilities including hospitals, clinics and medical office buildings.
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Experience in integrated project delivery methods, sustainable design and certifications methods
• LEAN project delivery experience an asset
• Sustainability knowledge including integrated project delivery methods, AIA Framework for Design Excellence, LEED and other applicable certification systems
The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA’s robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: $97,100-$120,000
