About the Role
Samsara is seeking a Staff Product Marketing Manager to own the strategic narrative for our data, automation, and AI products and build productive relationships with our customer’s CIOs. This is not your typical PMM role. You’ll serve as the go-to expert on how our most senior customers think, what they care about, and how Samsara can help them lead digital transformation within complex physical operations.
This role requires someone who’s both technical and a masterful storyteller—able to hold their own in a room full of CIOs and synthesize their needs into a powerful, cohesive strategy that shapes how we market our platform. You'll work across teams—from PM and Engineering to Sales and Events—and be instrumental in driving our long-term product and brand strategy with the CIO audience in mind.
This is a remote position open to candidates based in US.
You should apply if:
- You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact—helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, reduce emissions, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely.

We set up our employees for success and have built a culture that encourages rapid career development, countless opportunities to experiment and master your craft in a hyper growth environment.
- You’re energized by our opportunity: The vision we have to digitize large sectors of the global economy requires your full focus and best efforts to bring forth creative, ambitious ideas for our customers.
- You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together and support each other. You will be surrounded by a high-calibre team that will encourage you to do your best.
In this role, you will:
- Own Samsara’s overall narrative for our data, automation and AI offering: Develop and evolve the overarching story we tell to CIOs across industries. Ensure it reflects our strategic direction, resonates with their priorities, and unifies our platform vision.
- Be Samsara’s CIO expert: Build deep, trust-based relationships with CIOs (especially in our Customer Advisory Board), regularly meet with them, and understand how they evaluate technology decisions. Serve as a resource to the executive team and sales leaders.
- Support sales at the highest level: Join CIO-level sales conversations as a technical and strategic partner—answering second- and third-order questions and providing a compelling articulation of our value.
- Drive content and event strategy: Partner with our VP of Product to develop the overall experience for CIOs and developers at flagship events like Beyond. Shape breakouts for platform, developer tracks, or tailored executive experiences—and drive execution across teams.
- Partner cross-functionally: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Sales Engineering to ensure messaging reflects the roadmap, is technically sound, and aligns with field enablement.
- Lead strategic workstreams: Own and execute high-leverage projects that cut across technical depth and strategic influence—e.g., platform positioning, API strategy, developer engagement, and competitive differentiation.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 7+ years in Product Marketing, Solutions Engineering, or Developer Marketing roles, ideally in a deeply technical product or platform environment
- Proven experience engaging executive buyers, particularly CIOs or other technical decision-makers
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills—able to distill complex ideas into strategic narratives
- Experience owning cross-functional workstreams and driving them to completion
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (CS, Engineering, or similar); advanced degree a plus

- You’re energized by executive conversations and relationship-building. AEs want you in the room with their top accounts.
- You thrive in ambiguity and can lead without needing a playbook—self-directed, fast-moving, and focused on outcomes.
